Sheldwich Village Hall - Booking

We have made the booking system as easy as possilbe.

Please note: This system does not work well with Microsoft Edge. If using a Microsoft Windows system please use Firefox or Google Chrome.

To Make a booking:

  • Register on the system and confirm you registration by responding to the email sent to you.
  • Log in to the system.
  • Select enough hourly slots to cover your event.
  • Confirm booking

An admin officer will be informed of your booking and will be in touch to arrange payment and give further instructions if necessary.

Communication will be done by email wherever possible. This alleviates the necessity of having a committee member on hand throughout the day to administer hall bookings.

**Hourly Charges 2024**

The hall is hired at £12 per hour for Sheldwich Village Residents and £14 for those living outside of the village.

It goes without saying that the hall should be clean and tidy when handed back at the conclusion of every event.

  • All users on hiring the hall consent to adhere to the Sheldwich Village Hall policies.  With specific reference to health and safety, users need to be aware that there is no telephone at the premises, please ensure that you have access to a mobile telephone in the unlikely event you need to call the emergency services. 
  • Please note that Sheldwich Village Hall has a strict no smoking policy on the premises.
  • Do not obstruct the fire exit routes/doors including the main entrance and path to the hall.
  • You may only access the hall for the time for which you have booked and paid.
  • if you wish to put up decorations for an event, please do not use Sellotape, blue tack or any other form of adhesive as this damages paint on woodwork, ceilings and walls.
  • Music must not be played after 11pm and the hall must be vacated by 12 midnight.
  • · We ask that you conduct your activities in a safe and considerate manner.

Please take your rubbish away with you.

All hirers/users of the Village Hall should be aware that any safeguarding of children or vulnerable adults is the responsibility of the hirers. As such, the Hall Conditions of Use will be updated to make it clear that groups and individuals hiring the hall are responsible for their own safeguarding arrangements.

No events may be held outside in the hall car park.
